WHY IS BALANCE IMPORTANT?
Being properly balanced on your equipment allows you to have better control over your skis. Being in control increases your confidence on the slopes and allows you to improve your skiing faster with less frustration. You can have all the right techniques and training but if your equipment is working against you, you will struggle to reach the next level in your abilities.
Balance is also important to your overall comfort while skiing. A boot/binding system that is out of balance can cause pain and unnecessary muscle fatigue. A great boot fitting can be ruined if it is put into a system that pushes the skier out of alignment.
WHAT IS BIOSTANCE?
Biostance is an evaluation process that allows you to select a setting for your skis that puts you in the most balanced position on your equipment. The process allows the skier to feel the difference between different equipment settings prior to having their equipment permanently modified. It is an important part of outdoor DIVAS stance balancing process. The key benefit of biostance over other alignment systems is that the user is the one to determine the best setting. Not the technician. The technician will help guide the customer through the process but ultimately, the skier determine what setting feels the best to them.

Biostance is a diagnostic tool that allows us to evaluate what alignment issues may be present with your equipment and also gives us the tools to determine what stance is ideal for you.

Difficulty turning one direction versus another

HOW DO WE GET YOU BALANCED?
After completing the biostance process we will come up with a unique prescription for you that addresses how much forward angle (ramp) and side to side adjustment (cant) is right for you with your current boots. Once we have determined this we have several ways to apply the prescription based on what equipment you currently have.
